The Chairman of the Southeast and South south governors forum, Governor Emmanuel Udom of Akwaibom state, Sunday, said that the level of agitations in the two regions worry the governors.
He stated this as part of his Pre-speech at the Imo government House, who arrived for the South east South south governor’s forum meeting.
This was even as he mentioned agitations by different groups, marginalization as some of the challenges facing the two regions. He also disagreed with any group that declared any place in the country as “a no go area.”
He briefly said: “As we begin this deliberation, I urge our governors to look at the challenges that confront our people for considerations.
“This forum is concerned with the cacophony of voices that are calling for self determination and we are worried . We are also concerned with the issues of justice, fairness and equity in our region.”
Some of the governors at the meeting include, Abia, Okezuo Ikpeazu, Delta, Ifeanyi Okowa, Imo, Governor Rochas Okorocha, Rivers, Nyesom Wike, Cross River, Bennedict Ayade, Bayalsa, Seriaki Dickson, Enugu, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi and the Deputy governor of Anambra state.
