Birthday greeting: Bida Poly SUG salutes Abdulkadir, SSA to Rector

The President, Students’ Union Government of the Federal Polytechnic Bida, Niger State, Comrade Ashiru Adefemi (Rajman) has felicitated with the Senior Special Assistant on Media and Communications to the Rector of the institution, Mr Abdulkadir Abdullahi Yahaya on his birthday celebration.

The SUG President in an interview with Ournigeria News Magazine congratulated the SSA for his feat and efforts so far in the polytechnic community, describing him as a friendly leader loved by all students.

Adefemi also pointed out that Mr Abdulkadir has continuously put in efforts to see to the development of the Union through words of advice and encouragement whenever issues arose.

He also commended him for his style of living which has made it possible for students to always approach him.

“He is loved by many students due to his level of intellectualism, capacity, behavior and friendliness which is not only tenable in his department but also in other departments”.

The number one student of the institution also commended the entire staff of the institution for their cooperation while calling on them to emulate the SSA’s attributes of friendliness and good relations with students.

On his part, the Chairman of all Class Governors of the institution, Comrade Jato Ben (Democrat) also congratulated the SSA on his achievements as he climbed another age adding that his excellent performance in all areas were second to none.

According to the Chairman, “Mr Abdulkadir is a communicator per excellence. He is a man who believes in justice and fairness, a leader full of dexterity and administrative sagacity, a friendly lecturer who is always willing to impact knowledge in his students any time and any day”.

Responding, the SSA to the Rector, Mr Abdulkadir Abdullahi Yahaya appreciated the SUG leadership, students and well wishers for their gesture, good wishes and prayers. “I am actually appreciative of the various ecomiums being poured on us by students and well wishers and there is nothing I can do or say to repay these gestures. We are grateful to God for bringing us together and it is my strong belief that the days ahead will bring us more glad tidings and success.”

Mr Abdulkadir, however, emphasized the need for people to live a remarkable lifestyles which would serve as examples to others. “It is not about the number of years I have spent, but the quality of things we have achieved these past few years. Our works and moderate efforts are important in the lives of others.”

The SSA further pledged his full support and continuous contributions to the development of the society at all times. “We won’t rest on our oars in helping to bring about positive development to our place of work, our community and the nation as a whole,” he added.

He also called on Nigerians to unite against corruption and social vices by being law abiding citizens in all their dealings.

“There is no need for us to antagonize one another, let Nigerians fight for good causes always and enthrone good governance at all levels of leadership, we should be our brother’s keeper regardless of our tribe, religion or ethnicity,” he stressed.
