Voice of Zamfara a Non-Governmental Organisation has condemns the recent demonstration organised by an alien group from outside the state capable of pulling down the peacebuilding in the state.

The chairman of the group Comrade Salisu Muhammad Moriki who disclosed in a briefing as part of the 60th National Independence Anniversary said the demonstration was I’ll be sponsored and targeted at disrupting the peace.

Moriki said the demonstration was staged by some hired elements sponsored by some greedy politicians to generate chaos in the volatile state to bring down the joint efforts by the government in collaboration with the army to return peace to the state.

He reasons that if the group that staged the demonstration was truly non-political and non-partisan as claimed,  ” what business has it got to do with mentioning names of some political figures and calling for their arrests”Moriki observes.

The chairman further observes that Zamfara is currently enjoying a relative peace against what prevailed in the last yeas,  querying that “why did the group failed to come to the state during those most challenging times to demonstrate the feelings”,  viewing that the action of the group leaves room for doubt on its intention.

He advises the state government to as matter urgency,  implement the report of the committee chaired by the former Inspector-General of police MD Abubakar as the only option of douse tensions in the state.
