Private Mini stadium with 780 seating capacity established in Bauchi

The Babayo Lima Arena is a private Mini ultra-modern stadium worth N350 million established with a seating capacity of 780, state of art sporting facilities and a 50 players accommodation facility in Bauchi state.
The Chairman of the stadium (Arena) Dr Babayo Liman disclosed this when members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Bauchi council led by the Chairman Mal Umar Said visited the stadium on Sunday.
He said the mini ultra modern stadium was established to foster unity among citizens, provide recreation centres as well as create employment in the state.
“The arena has sports facilities that enclosed areas of sports pavilions, two-size football pitch,gymnasiums, Badminton along indoor sports, health spas, restaurant, ice rinks, sports wears among other similar places where members of the general public assemble to engage in physical exercise
“Public sports facilities have played a very important role in promoting physical activity and participation in leisure sports activities.
“Therefore, many public sports facilities have the low level of participation due to their failure to provide good quality service,” he said
According to him, he named the facilities after past and present governors of Bauchi state.
“Gynasium was name Ahmadu Muazu, football pitch after Malam Isa yuguda, Batmitton indoors game after Muhammad Abubakar and the accommodation and presidential suite was name after Former of Governor of Kano state Dr Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso,”
He said the stadium is one of its kind in the North East region, adding that the construction of the stadium is to develop the sports sector of the region.
Liman said the stadium is an academy young children from the age 10 – 15 to enable them continue using the facility as their training ground and youth academy in the pitches on the site.
Earlier, The NUJ Bauchi Chairman Mal Said their visit was to come and fraternize with the stadium and they commend the effort of the Chairman of the arena for the initiative.
He commended the standard which is international standard facilities put in place by an individual and first of its kind in the state.
Said said establishment of the stadium would promote peace and unity across tribal and religious differences.
