Taraba: Your comments against Maman Taraba, unguarded, disrespectful, Hon. Ade tells APC Chairman
A Former APC Youth Leader in Taraba state, Hon. Abdullahi Ade has described statement by the APC Chairman in the state, Barrister Ibrahim ElSudi against the former Minister of Women Affairs and social Development, Sen. Aisha Jumai Alhassan as unguarded and disrespectful.
Ade made the statement on Wednesday while reacting to the statement recently credited to ElSudi over Alhassan from APC to PDP.
Ade, who is also a Senior Special Assistance to Governor Darius Ishaku with no portfolio, said that the political achievements of Alhassan were too tremendous for ElSudi to address her as an irrelevant politician.
He thanked Taraba state Governor, Darius Ishaku for giving political appointments to nine supporters of Sen. Aisha Jummai Alhassan in his cabinet.
” We are supposed that a public officer like Elsudi will make such unguarded utterances against the person of Sen. Jumai Alhassan whose pedigrees is undobtedly remarkable.
“She brought APC to Taraba and ensured that the party made a veritable impact in the state by securing seven out of twenty four house of assembly members in the state”.
Abdullahi Ade noted that under her watch, the party won two members of the Federal house of representatives and one Senatorial seat in Taraba state.
“The party also participated in all local government elections unlike what happened in the last councils elections where APC was unable to field candidates due to lack of confidence in itself.
“The party has sink beyond imagination under Elsudi’s leadership of the party in which the public can attest to that. Therefore, where is his moral justification in disparaging the name of Sen. Aisha Jummai Alhassan alias Maman Taraba in the media?
” I advise him to retract his statement against the person of Sen. Alhassan or we will expose his mission as anti APC agent who was employed to destabise the party in the state and was successful in doing so.
“To us supporters of Maman Taraba, we have no cause to worry over her defection to PDP where she is already a member of the PDP state caucus and all decisions are taken with her.
“We also thanked Governor Darius Ishaku for considering her by appointing nine of her supporters into his cabinet. That is a mark of intergration and inclusiveness,” Ade said.
Also speaking, Hon. Muktar Madaki, Former Youth Leader of APC in Ibi local government area of the state, cautioned Ibrahim Elsudi against making provocative comments against Sen. Alhassan.
Madaki noted that the APC would not remain the same without Sen. Jummai Alhassan, advising the APC leadership in the state to concentrate on building the party and stop attacking her in the media.
He further advised APC as a party in the state, to also desist from making hate speeches.
Comrade Salisu Musa, Former APC State Disable Leader Advised Elsudi to be conscious of seniority and respect his seniors at any given time.
Musa, who referred to Elsudi as an errand boy to Sani Danladi alias ‘Contact’, the former Acting Governor of Taraba state reminded him that Sen. Alhassan has held public positions that Elsudi is still aspiring for.
He therefore, urged the state APC Chairman, Ibrahim Elsudi to retract his recent statement against Sen. Aisha Jummai Alhassan and tender unreserved apology to her.
According to him, failure to do so, we will mobilised protest against Ibrahim Elsudi.
” I feel embarrassed by the way and manner Elsudi, who calls himself a lawyer will show disrespect by making unguarded utterances against his most senior, Sen. Jummai Alhassan.
” We know that legal profession which is indeed noble, imbibes the culture of respect to seniority and with Elsudi’s behavior, I can say it’s very unfortunate,” he said.
Hajiya Maimuna Master, Former APC Women Leader Southern Taraba Zone said that the attack on Maman Taraba is an attack to all women in the state.
Maimuna, who is an addent supporter of Maman Taraba also warned Elsudi against such unguarded utterances against the person of Sen. Alhassan, describing her as an institution.
It will be recalled that the APC state Chairman, Ibrahim Elsudi recently reacted to the defection of Sen. Jummai Alhassan from APC to PDP in a media briefing in Abuja.
He described the former President Muhammadu Buhari’s Minister, Sen. Aisha Jummai Alhassan as a politician who has lost relevance in the polity.
